Expansion to Clinical Team

HALO Project Expands Space and Clinical Team to Meet Growing Mental Health Needs in Oklahoma

January 29th, 2026

In response to the growing mental health needs across Oklahoma, HALO Project is expanding both its physical space and clinical team to increase access to healing-centered care for children, teens, and families.

HALO Project has grown to a team of 24 clinicians, allowing the organization to significantly increase its capacity to provide individual counseling, facilitate group programs such as Making Sense of Your Worth, and support families through the HALO Program. This growth reflects HALO’s ongoing commitment to meeting individuals where they are and ensuring that healing-centered care remains accessible to those who need it most.

The expanded clinical team allows HALO to serve a broad population, including children and families impacted by foster care, adoption, domestic abuse, and childhood trauma, as well as individuals seeking healing, connection, and emotional restoration. In addition, HALO continues to prioritize care for the underinsured population, helping reduce barriers to mental health services for families who may otherwise go without support.

“As the mental health crisis continues to impact our community, access to care is more important than ever,” said Cindy R. Lee, CEO of HALO Project. “Expanding our space and clinical team allows us to serve more individuals with intentional, trauma-informed care while staying rooted in our belief that healing happens through connection.”

With increased space and staffing, HALO clinicians are able to provide comprehensive support across multiple programs, including individual counseling, group therapy, and intensive family-centered services. This integrated approach ensures that individuals receive care that addresses both immediate needs and long-term healing.

HALO Project’s mission is to equip families and community partners with proven methods to work toward individual healing and disrupt the cycle of hurt in the community. The organization believes that when people are seen, heard, and valued, they not only survive – they thrive.

Through continued growth and investment in clinical care, HALO Project remains committed to providing hope, healing, and connection to children, families, and individuals navigating the effects of trauma.

Bingo Bash

HALO Project’s First-Ever Bingo Bash Raises $95,000 to Support Oklahoma Children and Families

Oklahoma City, OK – The HALO Project is proud to announce the success of its inaugural Bingo Bash, held at the historic Oklahoma City Farmers Market in downtown OKC. With a full crowd, lively energy and bar service provided by the Farmers Market team, the event raised $95,000 to support HALO’s work with children and families healing from abuse and neglect.

The evening featured competitive rounds of bingo and a vibrant silent auction filled with crowd-favorite items such as luxury hotel stays, handcrafted quilts, photography sessions, wellness and skincare packages, and locally created art and experiences. Guests enjoyed friendly bidding wars and celebrated big bingo wins, with prizes ranging from restaurant gift cards to specialty baskets and exclusive experiences.

Stunning balloon installations from With God and Co (Shelly Kushmau) and catering from Kam’s helped create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests. Photographer Lindsay Harkness documented the night, capturing the fun, connection and generosity that filled the room.

Funds raised at Bingo Bash directly support HALO’s mission to bring deep healing to children, families and individuals impacted by trauma. More than 10,000 Oklahoma children are in need of support escaping abuse and neglect, with over 25% of the state’s foster care system residing in Oklahoma County alone.

“We are so grateful for everyone who showed up, gave generously and helped us make this night so special,” said event coordinator Hailey Brunner. “Knowing this event will make a real difference for children in our community means the world to us.”

HALO extends heartfelt thanks to every sponsor, donor, attendee and volunteer who made this first-ever event such a meaningful success.
